The Library Epansion Project is Now a Reality. Yet Funds Are Still Needed.
Plans and specifications are being finalized and construction is scheduled to begin this Spring. Most of the budget has been raised through federal, state, county, grantors and individual funding. With the goal in sight, we’re asking you to contribute to the efforts to keep the project on track. We’ll keep working on grants and appropriations, but we will need the support of our community to complete the project.
We have set a goal of $500,000 from local donations. Won’t you join us in raising what is needed for the project’s success? Any contribution will make an impact!
Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Gifts of $250 and up will receive a donor acknowledgment letter for tax purposes. Gifts of $1000 or more will receive a plaque on the honor wall in the Library.

Checks and other donations such as IRA Charitable Rollovers should be made out to the Marianna Black Library Fund and mailed to 33 Fryemont Street, Bryson City, NC 28713.
Donate with Venmo – You can donate to the Marianna Black Expansion Fund through your Venmo account. To make a donation, click the “Donate with Venmo” link and enter the amount to donate, In the “What’s this for?” field, please put General Campaign Fund. Your full donation is deposited in the Marianna Black Library Expansion bank account.
Donate with PayPal – You can donate to the Marianna Black Expansion Fund through PayPal with your PayPal account or a debit or credit card. To make a donation, click the “Donate with PayPal” link, enter the amount to donate, and select whether you’d like to use your PayPal account or donate with a debit or credit card.
